Did Comnet Refund?
The Consumer Arbitration Committee decided to refund certain amounts to some users as a result of the applications filed against the internet service provider Comnet. However, the refunds were lower than expected and continue to cause victimization. Users are questioning Comnet's lack of transparency in the refund process and the fairness of the calculations.
Comnet Refund Amounts and User Experiences
A consumer who applied for a refund explained the process as follows:
"I had a receivable of around 800 TL. However, after the decision of the Consumer Arbitration Committee, only 430 TL was refunded to me. The refund of my brother, who had more days, was also determined as 430 TL. The refund of my other brother, who had less than a month left, was calculated as 230 TL. Although I stated in my application form that I did not know my exact days and requested a refund, the result was different from what I expected."
Many users believe that Comnet does not transparently disclose refund calculations and that the Consumer Arbitration Panel decisions have inconsistent results for different consumers.
Consumer Arbitration Committee and Comnet Refund Process
Although some consumers have been refunded certain amounts as a result of the applications filed against Comnet, there has been no clear explanation of how these amounts were calculated. While consumers continue to seek their rights by applying to the Consumer Arbitration Committee, they are demanding more transparency in the process.
Experts on consumer rights recommend that users provide more detailed information and complete the necessary documents during the application process to avoid similar victimization. It is emphasized that care should be taken especially in terms of service cancellation and calculation of unused days.
While Comnet officials have not yet made a statement on the issue, users are waiting for their victimization to be resolved.
